AO Smith EWS Water Heater / Geyser

AO Smith is an American based electric company which has residential & commercial products. The water heater or geyser comes with different models & here the review is about the popular EWS model which has 6, 10, 15 & 25 liters water heaters.

I have both 15 & 25 liters water heaters, using it from past 1 year. The good thing about this geyser is, it has a ceramic coating inside hence it prevents from erosion & also avoids the salt deposition on the coil if we use bore well water. Its a 4 star energy saver, so power consumption is less. But since it has ceramic coating, it takes little more power than the conventional ones. The style & design is too good, it has a colored cap for which you can choose different colors based on your wall paint.

Fits well for multi storied apartments. There is no horizontal version of this model. The 15 liters heater will fit in perfectly inside the false ceiling of the standard bathrooms, but the 25 liters heater it little bigger, hence the pipes will come down from the false ceiling & will be easily visible. Since the style & design of this heater is very good, it looks good for non false ceiling based bathrooms.

Other features include temperature control, LED indicator for status, automatic switch off after heating. We have been using this heater from past 1+ year & so far not even a single complaint. Overall its a good water heater.
